Derby Gait and Movement Laboratory was set up in 1994. The
laboratory comprises of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of
medical consultants , bioengineers and physiotherapists. State
of the art diagnostic equipment is used within the laboratory to
collect detailed data of movement patterns.
The laboratory undertakes both clinical and
research services. Clinically, we accept referrals for
biomechanical assessments nationally, both within the NHS
framework and privately. We also have an active research
portfolio, undertaking research projects in collaboration
with many universities.
